Road Trek Emonda
Tom Askew
“A physio, two bike shops, and YouTube could not fix it. A measurement did.”
The problem coming in
Ache behind the kneecap that started every climb and lingered for days after hard rides.
What we changed
Raised the saddle 9mm, moved cleats 5mm rearward, added a 1.5mm wedge under the left cleat for a leg-length difference the screen found.
| Metric | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saddle height | 758 | 767 | 9 |
| Saddle setback | 55 | 55 | 0 |
| Reach | 398 | 398 | 0 |
| Drop | 102 | 102 | 0 |
The outcome
Pain-free after three weeks of adaptation, now doing the club climbing series.
